The current Head of the Department of Political Science at the University of Mumbai is a scholar deeply passionate about Maharashtra’s history, culture, and contemporary issues. He serves as the President of the Marathi Studies Center, where his focus on the state’s language politics and evolving cultural landscape is prominent. Known for his insightful columns on Maharashtra’s history and politics, he contributes regularly to newspapers, offering valuable perspectives on key regional topics.
In addition to his academic role, he is a recognized political analyst, often appearing in television debates where he shares his expert views on current political affairs. His scholarly work and media presence have made him a respected figure in both academic and public circles.
He has authored several important books, including Public Administration – SNDT University Distance Education Dept, मराठी भाषेची अश्वेतपत्रिका, and शिक्षणाचे मराठी माध्यम-अनुभव आणि अस्वस्थ वर्तमान (co-edited), reflecting his in-depth research into critical topics. Currently, he is working on projects related to Post-Globalisation Politics of Language in Maharashtra and भाषाविचार & महाराष्ट्रधर्म, which delve into the intersection of politics, language, and culture in the region. Through his academic and public engagements, he continues to contribute significantly to the discourse surrounding Maharashtra’s socio-political and cultural evolution.

Leader and Spokesperson of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena
Anil Shidore is a prominent leader and spokesperson for the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), as well as the Secretary of Maitri Sanstha and the Managing Director of GreenEarth Social Development Consulting Pvt Ltd. As the founder of both GreenEarth and Maitri, he has dedicated over 45 years to the development sector, where he has made significant contributions across a variety of fields.
Anil Shidore is a University gold medalist and has built a diverse career working in areas such as adult education, natural resource management, health, education, human rights, relief and rehabilitation, grants management, social communications, and sanitation. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous organizations in a variety of roles, driving impactful initiatives.
One of his most notable achievements was his leadership in preparing a comprehensive Blueprint for Maharashtra on behalf of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, demonstrating his deep involvement in shaping the state’s development strategies. His work continues to have a lasting impact on the development sector and the communities he serves.

Dr. Rohan Chaudhary is an Assistant Professor, Centre for Political Science at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, specializing in International Relations and Foreign Policy. He holds a Master’s degree in Defence and Strategic Studies and a Ph.D. from the Political Science Department of Savitribai Phule University. With a deep passion for Urban Governance, Dr. Chaudhary has made significant contributions to both academia and public discourse. He has delivered lectures and engaged with students across the country, sharing his expertise in global affairs. Additionally, Dr. Chaudhary has written numerous editorials and articles on International Relations and Foreign Policy, further establishing his influence in the field. His academic journey and active involvement in contemporary issues make him a respected voice in both the scholarly and policy-making communities.
