Dr.Deepak Pawar

The current Head of the Department of Political Science at the University of Mumbai is a scholar deeply passionate about Maharashtra’s history, culture, and contemporary issues. He serves as the President of the Marathi Studies Center, where his focus on the state’s language politics and evolving cultural landscape is prominent. Known for his insightful columns on Maharashtra’s history and politics, he contributes regularly to newspapers, offering valuable perspectives on key regional topics.

Currently, he is working on projects related to Post-Globalisation Politics of Language in Maharashtra and भाषाविचार & महाराष्ट्रधर्म, which delve into the intersection of politics, language, and culture in the region.
